There are some major changes coming to MissionalMonks.com in the next week or so. With the launch of the Communitas experience, Seminar in Missional Life and other tools, we've decided to streamline our resources into one location.

In the Burleson group's discussions on "Missional Imagination" an issue was raised that I think is appropriate to respond to publicly on Missional Monks.
The question came in response to several disturbing passages of scripture - most notably the story of Abraham's call and willing response to sacrifice his son Isaac. Initially the question was, "what would you do if God asked you to kill your child?"

Today is Good Friday (which has always seemed like an odd tag for the day commemorating Jesus’ crucifixion) and Easter Sunday is just around the corner. On Sunday we’re beginning a season of prayer for a new adventure in which Missional Monks will be a part.
